Want to build a sustainable Bible study habit?
Tired of making resolutions to read through your Bible that get derailed before the end of Genesis?
Busy moms need a plan for overcoming distractions and studying Scripture in a way that is
1. Meaningful
2. Practical
3. Flexible
We long to build a habit that will last through distractions and make His truth "stick" so we can really grow in Him.
God’s Word is our light for the dark paths of life, our comfort in distress, our mirror to reveal our faults, our sword to fight against Satan’s lies, the milk and meat to satisfy our hungry souls. Then why don’t we study it more?
We know God commands us to study to show ourselves approved to Him. We need to rightly divide His Word so that we won’t be ashamed. But how can we make sure we’re doing it right?
God promises blessings to those who meditate on His Word. But how can we be consistent when every time we sit down to read, the little ones cry, the older ones fight, the pot boils over, the washer beeps, and our minds rush off in a thousand directions?
Lie: God understands I’m busy, so I can get by without the Bible for today.
Truth: Tomorrow is too late to get grace for today.
Building a Bible Study Habit for Busy Mamas can help you
- Set realistic goals for Bible study, accepting the limitations of your circumstances but not using them as an excuse.
- Learn the difference between Bible reading and in-depth study, the benefits of each, and tips for making both happen in a busy home.
- Practice a simple study method that can be adapted to whatever passage you're studying and whatever time constraints you have.
- Rejoice as you see God's truth at work in your heart and life, and share that joy with others.

Hi, I'm Kristin, homeschooling mama to eight energetic boys and one sweet girl.
I understand what it’s like to feel like there’s no time for Bible study.
Many years ago as a single student and missionary, I loved finding insights in the Word of God and feeling that God had used the Bible to meet my need for comfort and direction. But after I became a mom, the needs of a growing family gradually led me to lose the fire of my first love, and Bible reading became a quick duty that I could check off my list whenever other tasks didn’t get in the way.
I knew I needed more, and I longed to experience the blessings promised those who meditate on God’s Word “day and night” (Ps. 1). I tried various reading plans, and always seemed to fall behind or get off track.
But I couldn’t see how to make Bible study work at all, until I was challenged to put together a Bible training course for the children of our church. Later I realized that the process we were teaching them was working for me as well, even with my difficult schedule.
Friends asked me to share the materials and methods we used, and I decided to put together this course in a format that’s easy for other moms to access and learn from.
Q&A
The regular price is $40, but through the beginning of June, if you’re willing to complete the course and send me your review and suggestions within the next few weeks, you may use the coupon code “REVIEW-TEAM” to join the course for free! I want to continue improving this course so that it can be as helpful as possible for you and others.
The five lessons each have a 10-20 min. video with accompanying worksheet, 10-30 min. study assignment (depending on how deep you want to go), and a short check-in quiz that, when completed, allows you to unlock bonus content and move on to the following lessons.
You are welcome to take as many days as you need for one lesson, but I’d encourage you to try to do one a day. There will be plenty of tips along the way to help you keep it simple. If you finish in a week, you could take the next 2-3 weeks to review or repeat the content while you work on building that sustainable habit.
You’re welcome to reach out to me with a personal email and ask–I’d love to help! But the course is designed to be straightforward and flexible enough that you should be able to keep moving forward at whatever level you’re on.
If you go through the course and don’t find it helpful, I’d still love to hear from you and get feedback on how it can be improved. You’re welcome to save your access info so you can come back to it and see if it “clicks” for you at a later time. If you decided to purchase the course (instead of sharing with friends and getting it free) and would like a refund, just let me know. I want you to be 100% satisfied and pray that the materials will be a blessing and help to you.
