Merry Christmas!
Here’s a little gift from me to you . . . a free PDF you can download and print as you wish. I read it in a devotional from Elisabeth Elliot. She seems to have added the last line herself (or copied it from someone who did), because it’s not in the original poem. But it completes the idea and reminds us of our most important task this Christmas season: to worship the “unmeasured God” who sank so low “as prisoner in a few poor rags to lie.”
For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.” II Cor 8:9
This Christmas, revel in the truths expressed in this poem by Richard Crashaw on the overwhelming wonder of Christ’s incarnation. What a wonderful Savior He is!
